So we just got home from Primary Children's Hospital. As most know Eliott had Strept throat. On Friday he began to feel sick. Thurs. morn he complained of a sore neck and i just thought he slept on it wrong. Sat he began to run a fever so I took him to the InstaCare where they diagnosed him with Strept and gave him a shot of Penicillin in his butt!(Took me and three nurses to hold this kid down for that!) So we brought him home and thought that he would start feeling better. Well we thought wrong, by Mon morn he was not getting any better and he still had a very high fever. I called the InstaCare who told me to wait until it had been 72 hours since his shot. So I waited until Tues afternoon and called again. After listening to him cry all day and him still having a fever I knew something was wrong. His neck was so swollen and his breath was the most horrible smell ever! Steph suggested I call the InstaCare back even though it had not been 72 hours, so I did and they suggested I take him to the Hospital. So after they started an I.V. because he was dehydrated and the cat scan to rule out an abscess they finally decided that he had a mild case of mono, strept and tonsillitis. So needless to say he is still feeling really crappy and all day he is complaining that he is hot so he has taken 3 cold showers today! I hope that he is feeling better soon and I will keep you posted!
